At present I'm using a set of Litronics that I bought out of the RL classifieds.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
Thinking about picking up a '99 996 C2 as a replacement for my daily and was wondering if there were any alternative aftermarket options for headlights that didn't have the LED strip in them.
I'm looking for something more along the lines of the OEM Bosch Litronic assemblies.
Does anyone know if such a product exists?
I could imagine retrofitting a Litronics to a non Litronic car would not be an easy task. Would be nice to find a nice alternative though.
Any and all help would truly be appreciated!
Thanks!
Your options are;
1) Halogen with amber turn signal
2) Halogen with clear turn signal
3) Litronics
4) Ebay craptastic headlights with LED turn signal (don't even think about it)
5) Build your own
6) Pay someone to build you a set
Nine8Six (Fred) makes the super cool CNC aluminum HID projectors, but he is currently unavailable and has been for months.
Litronics are plug n play. I put them in my '99. The only thing you don't get is the self-leveling function, unless you wired it up to your suspension.
My '00 C2 has the Litronics, but they must have been upgraded by a previous owner since I didn't have an option code for it from the factory. There is an extra plug on the back of the headlight assembly, presumably for the auto-leveling control, but I have no harnesses to connect to it--the lights just slide in and work fine.
I just pulled out the whole headlight assembly and swapped in Litronic headlights. I didn't do any bulb swapping. It's plug n play when dealing with the entire headlight assembly.
I have a set of halogens with Fred's HID mod, currently out of the car because they are yellowed and I need to refinish them. At present I'm using a set of Litronics that I bought out of the RL classifieds. Both sets are plug and play with my stock halogens.
