Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all, New to the area and in need of a clutch replacement for my 2003 4S and in need of a reputable mechanic. Any recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob

POST 2Original post

Not sure about Napa (although there should be a few their in the wine country) but I use Midtown Autoworks in Sacramento. They did my IMSB, RMS, Clutch and Flywheel, later my 60K service and they did a great job.

POST 3Original post

Not Napa, but close-ish... http://scargoracing.com/

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you texcwa and vitaminC! Sent a note to scargoracing and awaiting a response. Distance not so bad if its a great shop. New to the Porsche scene but quickly learning I need a mechanic that really knows these cars. I am a DIY mechanic but I'll leave the clutch replacement to the professionals. Thanks again, Rob

De Jung Motorsport in Cotati did my ims bearing. Great guy, really knows his work and kept me updated every minute being honest that my clutch was still in good condition and not pushing me to replace parts that weren't bad. Give him a call.

POST 6Original post

Scargoracing did my clutch and IMS bearing. Two thumbs up from me.

POST 7Original post

The previous owner of my 996 used Ignacio Motorsports in Novato. Seems like they have a good reputation, it certainly came to me in an excellent state of repair.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

@woodman71. Scargoracing rocks! Great shop. Highly recommended. Thanks!
