The PO had a homelink remote control installed in the passenger sun visor where the mirror should be. The job looked pretty bad and the homelink was too old to work my my garage door opener also the visor sagged. I ordered a new to me visor off ebay and accidently ordered the coupe and not the cab visor. I switched the visors but was still unhappy it would not stay in the full upright position. Then I found specializedgerman on ebay and got the correct arm at a very good price. Changing these parts I noticed there are no wires going to the lighted mirror. The drivers visor has the lighted mirror and the lights work. How are the lights powered? I did not see any electrical connections when removing the old arm or when removing the visor from the arm.

The power comes through the "snaps" ( contacts) on the free end of the visor. So no wires to the visor needed. Porsche probably did this so the lights don't come on when the visor is against the side window??

Funny, I replaced both my visor mirrors a couple years ago, and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't work... I checked all the components for continuity, and everything seemed fine. Then I noticed the contacts on the visor clip! Ahahhhhhhh moment... pretty tricky the Germans are
