After scouring Ebay for some replacement interior pieces for my 996, it's become apparent that good quality Natural Brown leather pieces are hard to come by. 997 pieces, however, are frequently in better condition. I know the front seats can be made to work and some other pieces share part numbers. Others share the same part number, but are prefixed with 997 instead of 996, but the part appears similar. Are any of the following pieces plug and play backwards compatible? - A-Pillar trim (shape & snaps look identical, only question is where it meets the dash) - Rear trim below window (997 is carpet, but piece looks structurally identical) - Inner Door Sills (seem to fit, but can buttons be swapped for trunk/memory seats?) I'd appreciate the info if anyone else has already gone down this route, as it'd save me the time of buying random things off Ebay just to test.
