Fwiw, I was also going to try 18mm spacers up front to see if they fit when i replace my wheel studs this spring with a longer set.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey there, I've been thinking about getting wheel spacers for my 996.2 Carrera to make it look sexier. Both axles. Any recommendations in terms of brands and spacing on each axle? Would be great if anyone can share a before/after photo of the wheel spacers Thanks ahead and here's my beloved 996!

POST 2Original post

Looks like you have a 996.2. I use 15mm H&R spacers front and back with wheel studs on my 996.2. Fits well with Carerra 18s using 225x40x18 front and 285x30x18 rears with room to spare.

POST 3Original post

I went with 10mm front and 15mm rear for my 01 C4.. Bought them off eBay for $190 shipped. Just be sure to TQ them and check every so often just to be safe.

POST 4Original post

My C2 came with 10mm Rennline hubcentrics in front, I'm not using them anymore so please take them off my hands (and buy new extended bolts for your car). They're well made, consistent thickness all around and no wheel vibration at all. Good fix for the overly conservative stock fitment.

POST 5Original post

I don't have any before and after pictures since I have been running spacers for nearly 2 decades in the car. Here are pictures with the H&R 15mm front and back. Car is set to GT3 specs on Bilstein PSS9s. Not a very scenic backdrop at my Indy and then at the track, but they may help. As you can see, there is plenty of room for 235x40x18 and 295x30x18. Fwiw, I was also going to try 18mm spacers up front to see if they fit when i replace my wheel studs this spring with a longer set. There seems to be a little extra room in the front wheel wells in the 996.2 vs. 996.1. H&R 15mm w/ 225x40x18 and 285x30x18. H&R 15mm w/ Bridgestone RE71RS 225x40x18 H&R 15mm w/ RE71RS 285x30x18

POST 6Original post

15mm Rennline front and rear with extended lug studs, stock c4 suspension.

POST 8Original post

I did 7mm front and 10mm rear rennline hubcentric. I think its just enough to not look stock.

POST 9Original post

Yes, definitely get spacers. Makes all the difference in the world. I don't know what the hell Porsche was thinking with the wheels so far inset. I was shocked how much a factor the stock wheel inset was in my not liking the look of the 996 (despite LOVING the car itself). Be sure to get longer wheel bolts. The Venom spacers on Amazon are inexpensive, made in America, and come with German bolts. 15mm on front and rear was perfect on my 996.1. If you're not sure what size to get -- I'd suggest ordering one 15mm pair first, and install it on the front and the rear on one side of the car only. Then you can see how it looks and decide if you want a different size for the front or rear. Lot's of threads on the subject, here is the one (shows the weight of the spacer): https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...cers-15mm.html
