Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Wurth Silver spray can (on the can it says SILBER must be german for silver?) may or may not need to clear over it

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks looks interesting, really after the factory finish or close to it. I'm not sure I could spray these like I'm wanting. I'll need a professional finish either paint and clear or powder coated. I want the painted surface to be slick and able to accept waxing This paint?

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wonder why the can show to paint the tire, .

POST 11Original post

The Wurth Paint will work and the MY02 is an easy wheel to paint You MUST use the Clear Topcoat to get the color and protect the paint I finished a set of wheels 3 years ago the fronts finally succumbed to embedded brake dust and the like so I'm planning on painting them GT Silver to match the car

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice, did you paint the entire wheel, I keep my car completely spotless always, I want the inside of the wheels as smooth and wax able as the outside.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Im not real sure about the surface with this paint, I'm looking for a completely smooth like glass surface, like original

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm pretty sure I'll have them painted professionally, or powder coated with clear

POST 16Original post

sand, sand, sand and sand some more, with 220 garnet paper you can use playing cards stuck into the gap @ wheel & tire dust it off with compressed air, wipe with an alcohol rag use an etching or filler primer, Duplicolor works well 2 cans of paint & clear will be enough, don't bother to paint the barrels just use oven cleaner and a strong soapy solution before paint wax the inside barrels heavily, paint the lug heads with Plastidip look close and you can see I painted the rotor hat with some aluminum paint from Rust-oleum
