Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

With the OEM price for this part now hovering around $500 I decided to try the DNS Performance version.: https://dns-performance.com/gallery/e/996/BOXTER-GT3-FRONT-LIP-SPOILER--(not-C4S,-Turbo-or-GT2)-p501739810 Total cost with shipping from the UK was under $200 USD. It arrived quickly and packaged stoutly to protect from damage. Upon inspection it looks well built and does have a good amount of flexibility to thwart minor curb incursions. It is not a direct fit to the factory mounting points and they include some self-tapping stainless screws for installation. I decided against this route and ended up modifying it to mount using the factory fasteners. Overall it is a good fit and I am looking forward to testing it out this spring. Here are a few pictures of it installed.

Remove your bumper, find center on both the bumper and the lip, mock it up and mark the holes. Drill the holes and then use the Porsche plastic bumper rivnut things to mount the lip this part number has all the hardware you need: 99650598691MK

I would probably start with the URL provided in the first post but that's just me.

POST 12Original post

Here is a link that works: 996/BOXSTER GT3 FRONT LIP SPOILER (not C4S, Turbo or GT2) (dns-performance.com) Thank you for checking it out. Bummer that its not a direct fit, but it looks pretty easy to fit anyway with some basic modifications. So it didn't come with mounting holes at all? Or the plastic rivets? Weird. It does look pretty good in your pictures.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It came with mounting holes drilled in it for the stainless self-tapping screws they supplied but they did not line up with the OEM mounting points.
