Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Like a lot have experienced, I just had my "ahah" moment after changing the engine mounts on my 04 996C2 at 72k miles. I confirm that the car shifts a lot smoother and I have a much better feel while cornering. When I bought my car at Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte NC last year, they offered me to purchase their aftermarket powertrain warranty "Autoguard 19"... Which I did since the 996 is my daily driver. Last yearly service they identified the mounts to be repaced and took them under warranty ... I ended up paying only the 150$ Warranty deductible for parts and labor and got to enjoy a nice loaner for 24h... They let me a 2016 Cayenne for the day what got me into trouble with my wife who asked to keep the Cayenne and trade the 996!! Anyway I read a lot of posts complaining about Porsche dealers, I like to recognize Hendricks for their customer service.

How much was the policy? Nationwide coverage? Underwriter?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I paid 2k$ for 3 years and a coverage up to 99k miles. I bought the car at 63k miles. The coverage is nationwide valid in any dealer or indy. Initial price was 2.8k, I didn't want it at the beginning but I guess spending too much time reading on this forum all things that can go bad on the M96 kind of push me to include it it in the negotiation. Due to the mileage I couldn't get more than the basic powertrain (engine + transmission). Cool things is that engine mounts and transmission mounts are covered along a bunch of engine parts (water pump, rods, pulley ...). More info at http://www.hendrickautoguard.com/mechanical-repair
