Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been trouble shooting a noise which I have had since I bought the car which seemed to be a relay buzzing. Finally I worked out it was the horn relay continually engaging, and found this Renntech Article on fixing it. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/1728-horn-problem/ Having worked out what it was, I needed to work out why the horns did not sound, so off to the internet for fuse and relay diagrams I went (thanks Ahsai). Fuse was good and in place, relay clearly did something, so I figured I must have bad horns. Ohhhhhh no I didn't, having pulled off the bumper, only breaking one clip!! I found that both horns were disconnected and can confirm they are loud. Somehow though my car passed the safety like this!! Clearly measuring window tint is more important than a working horn in Ontario!!! Its currently fixed with a business card pending the purchase of a T30 Torx that will fit into the back of the steering wheel (the one I have is too stubby so won't fit). At least it looks like a cheap fix.
