Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just checked the 18x10 on the rear of mine to be sure and it says 65 offset.

On a 2004 with 10 inches the rear offset is 65, if the offset is higher you Can adjust with spacers, but thats not your case

I'd rather get the right set so should I pass on these?

I have a set of each, use the '99s for my snows on my '02.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey, I've used the search but can't quite find an answer. I have a '99 c2 and my build options have the 18" wheel option but when I bought it there were 17's on it. Needless to say I've been hunting for the proper wheels
I found a set of 18" turbo twists, front 8, rear 10 with offsets 50 front 47 rear and seller says these are the right ones for the 996 NB.
Are these the correct wheels that will fit?
Thanks
The 18" option would have had 7.5" fronts for that year. For '02 the fronts increased to 8" width. I have a set of each, use the '99s for my snows on my '02.
The rear offset should be around 65 not 47 though on a narrow body. That's a bigger concern than the front width. 47 would work on the wide-bodies if I am not mistaken. I just checked the 18x10 on the rear of mine to be sure and it says 65 offset.
Those are wide body offsets. For the front, 18x8 et50 are standard. You can go down to 43 pretty easily if not more.
For the rears 18x10 et 65 are standard. Et50 is about as low as you can go.
OK, I read in another thread about the 18" wheel option on a '99 it said these wheels are for gen 2 cars. You guys are saying these wheels I'm looking at have the wide body offset. I'd rather get the right set so should I pass on these?

Found this chart it explains all the wheel options. The seller assured me they were for narrow body but I'm glad I asked. Thanks,
