Easy way to tell for future guys looking for used taillights is to look to see if the end of the taillight by the wheels slants down or up.

Hi, I admit it I am still a noob in the Porsche world. I am looking at replacing my tail lights on my 1999 996. Too much amber! Nope. Those are for a 997. Unless someone else chimes in with a way to alter them to work I would pass on them.

Dectane or Depot tails will give a similar look, are high quality and are made for the 996. Expect to pay $600-800 US for them.
