I believe the seller had installed a GT2 bumper on his turbo, and I bought his original bumper.

And, I'd recommend getting a repair estimate before trying to purchase a whole bumper.

Does anyone have a source for used 996 C4S bumpers?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Have you reported to your insurance agency? And, I'd recommend getting a repair estimate before trying to purchase a whole bumper.
Regardless, that really sucks the big one!
That's not a repair item these days. Most body shops will just replace it. I don't know what your deductible is but I can't imagine it being worthwhile buying a used bumper cover in lieu of a new one.

I had a similar incident with my C4S. I found a rennlister selling a turbo bumper in the rennlist classifieds. It was even painted the correct color. I bought it for $250, as I recall. Shipping cost about the same amount. I believe the seller had installed a GT2 bumper on his turbo, and I bought his original bumper.
They are frequently offered for sale on eBay. You might also consider a Porsche parts reseller like Oklahoma Foreign.
Yea my deductible is high enough where its not worth going through insurance. A friend of mine said that a good body shop may be able to repair it by heating the polyurethane up and melting it back together.
NO idea what that would cost though, as it seems like it would be a lot of labor to make it look right.
I guess I'll leave it for now - There is a Porsche only cars+coffee by me a few weeks from now, i'll have to get a warning sign before people look at my car
You may want to call your insurance company and have it quoted and an adjuster look at it before you decide. I've had two instances where other cars of mine were damaged in parking lots. On one occasion the adjuster said it was very clearly a collision - on the other they let the claim be comprehensive (and thus a much lower deductible).
Sorry to hear that -- good luck with finding a replacement bumper. eBay is always listing something. IMHO, aside from the OEM's selling at comparable prices, there are two different kinds of sellers there -- the folks who pulled the bumper off their own cars and are looking to charge an arm and a leg like they're selling forbidden fruit and purveyors of cheap aftermarket alternatives that still need to be prepped, painted and properly fitted (hopefully without much struggle -- reviews are key here). Sometimes you'll find an exception though. I would look to the ads on Rennlist and similar sites where you might find more reasonable sellers.
Good luck!
