My car originally came with the 19 inches option (415 - panamera turbo wheels), but wheels were swapped before i bought it, so i will go to my local Porsche dealer and ask some questions.

I have seen this upgrade a lot in this forums, but maybe it was the 18inches version.

Suggestion
I wouldn't recommend 25 series tires on the 19" Porsche wheels either.

Suggestion
Shouldn't your rear comparison be 285/30-18 not 285/35-18 - not sure if it changes anything though.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
I just received my 997 19 inches wheels for my 2004 C2
Rear offset is almost the same, 65 to 67, width 10 to 11, no spacers required.
Front offset was 50 but now is 57, im thinking of 10-15mm spacers.
My problem is when i calculate the tire circum.
Front was 225/40R18 to 235/35R19, 78.8 to 80 (1.5% diff)
Read was 285/30R18 to 295/30R19, 77.7 to 81.5 (4.7% diff)
I have read in another thread that 3% is the max difference, 4.7% is 150% of that, is this really going to cause a problem? I have seen this upgrade a lot in this forums, but maybe it was the 18inches version.
I only paid 470$us for the set, selling them is an option.
Sorry for my poor english, im a french canadian
Richard
The change in circumference of the rear tires is on the high side.
The potential issues that comes to mind is that your speedometer will show incorrect speed and that the ABS and PSM may act up.
In the On-board computer there is a function to re-calibrate the tires, not sure how much it can compensate though...
The 3% is a much bigger deal on 4 wheel drive Carreras. Currently, your rear diameter is almost 1/2" smaller than your front. The new tires will have the rear 1/2" larger in diameter so a 1" change in rake. If you have an adjustable height suspension, it shouldn't be a big deal. If you don't, your are effectively "lifting" the front .4" and the rear 1.3". I'm not sure that is going to create the look you are going for.
As for the wheel spacers I think you are on the right track.
So I think the wheels are fine but you need to find tires that are closer in diameter to stock.
OP, those 19" wheels can work with the 996, but make sure you purchase the correct tire size or you may have scrubbing.

According to b32freak website, the best tire would be 295/25R19. After a quick search, Kuhmo are the only one with that size and its for 2016 dodge vipers, so its gonna pretty hard to find...
https://tiresize.com/tires/Kumho/Ecs...-295-25R19.htm
Youre right, im just back from the dealer and my options list was not correct, the code 415 is for turbo look 18 inches...
The list was printed from ppn.porsche.com...
OEM tire size for the "narrow body" Mk2 996 is:
225/40/18 - front
285/30/18 - rear
OEM tire size for the "wide body" Mk2 996 is:
225/40/18 - front
295/30/18 - rear
I understand...but I was just commenting that your tire size calculator compared a 285/
35
-18 to a 295/30-18 - the comp should have been a 285/30-18 compared to a 295/30-18
Yea, while 35 series will work, you're right it should have been 30, but remember the OP is wanting to install 19" OEM 997 wheels on a 996. His wheels are 19"x8.5" front and 19"x11" rear.
