Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'd like to get the exact color codes for my 2004 C2 (VIN = WP0AA29994S622315 ). Googling produces lots of sites that do VIN lookup, but so far I haven't found one that will produce interior and exterior color codes for my 996. Suggestions welcomed.

POST 3Original post

I've tired several - I don't think the colour is encoded into the VIN - however I might be wrong. All of the decoders I've ever tried have never shown the colour.

POST 4Original post

The link in post #2 shows the color code for that particular VIN - E7 for Atlas Grey Metallic.

Can you look up WP0AA0945KN450725 please? Supposed to be a 1989 and looks like Ocean Blue - but that color should not exist that year. Thanks!

C7 - Moonlight Blue Metallic Not in reference to this scenario but If people don't even bother posting a thanks I'm not going to waste my time looking up codes for them - I think that's reasonable?
