Going to ask a question that may have no great answer but here goes. Abs light came on right after replacing the front right sensor (cracked connector - was working but in the midst of a brake job decided just to replace) Then the abs light came on. Checked the resistance across the pins and getting 1750 ohms on the new one which is identicle to the resistance i measure on the older left front. Spinning the wheel by hand does produce voltage. From my research this is the correct resistance for this part number 996-606-406-00 and its a Bosch part. Turns out Durametric cannot communicate with this abs module it seems that it can only read codes for 2001 and higher. is there some other tool besides the PIWIS that can interrogate this for the 99? I Am planning on getting back out there to put the old sensor back on to see if thats the deal.
