Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

66 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The key for the 997 is very large. Does anyone still put it on a keychain? I wish it was a folding key or a key fob. Show everyone what is in your pocket.

POST 2Original post

Mine is on the same Porsche key ring featured in your avatar. I also carry a house key and a key to our mailbox on the keyring. Nothing else.

POST 4Original post

I have one of these attached to the key I use daily. It gives the key enough mass to reduce the odds of me unknowingly running it through the laundry, as I did this to BOTH of my Boxster keys. One of them made it through the front-loader intact, but the other required replacement. Expensive lesson. I don't leave it hanging out of my pocket or make it visible to others, so any claims of douchery - at least as they relate to the key fob - will be ignored. I had one of the leather fobs, but it tore after a few months. Thus far, the metal one has proved indestructible.

I like it - and since it was a Chinese knockoff, I think I paid something like $8 for two of 'em. I'm probably getting arsenic/lead/mercury poisoning every time I carry them around, but hey, they look cool.

DT Miller that's a lot of sh**t to carry around. One might even say that it weighs probably as much as a can of WD-40. Actually, that's what I was hoping to see on your keychain. As for me, I'm a simple man and have the same key chain as 5CHN3LL. Even that appears too heavy for my taste.

POST 48Original post

I actually use a lanyard. It's fun. I get a lot of " Hey do you drive a Porsche?" comments everywhere I go. It stirs up a lot of conversation. I've heard a lot of interesting stories, and people telling me how cool it is that I own and drive one and they haven't even seen my car. They just go off the fact that I have a Porsche lanyard with a key around my neck. I should have been wearing this thing a long time ago, lol. (Poser) Additionally, it's easy for me to keep up with my keys. The thing cost me $5.00 from ebay with free shipping. Get yours today. PS, I'm currently out of the county and renting a little Fiat, but I still have those keys on my lanyard, lol.

Thanks, just ordered a few of these lanyards.

POST 54Original post

I have one of these joined to the key I utilize everyday. It gives the adequately critical mass to decrease the chances of me unconsciously running it through the clothing, as I did this to BOTH of my Boxster keys. One of them endured the front-loader unblemished, however the other required substitution. Costly example. I don't avoid it hanging with regard to my pocket or make it apparent to other people, so any cases of voucher - in some measure as they connect with the key coxcomb - will be overlooked. I had one of the cowhide dandies, yet it tore following a couple of months. Up to this point, the metal one has demonstrated indestructible.
