Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Two summers ago I replaced the dead radiator fans with good used units off a wrecked car.
Leading evidence: 'Replace dead radiator fans' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fusses first' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I also used the Durametric to turn them on with no results.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Putting my C4S back together after swapping the original radiators out for new CSF aluminum radiators after a failure I caught in the nick of time. Two summers ago I replaced the dead radiator fans with good used units off a wrecked car. They worked as intended before I pulled them to replace the radiators. Now that they're back in they're BOTH DOA, and I'm flummoxed! It feels weird to me that BOTH radiator fans would be dead at the same time. Especially since they both worked fine when I pulled them. They won't turn on with A/C engaged, and won't turn on when idle engine temp is high enough. I jumped the terminals on each high- and low-speed relay with no results. I also used the Durametric to turn them on with no results. Tonight I'm going to make some long alligator clip leads to run 12V to them for a final test of the resistors.
Am I missing something, or did I just win the fan failure lottery?
No way both fans went out and the same exact time.
Very very doubtful, but if you used some removal/installation process that did similar damage to both that might be the only way both fans went bad simultaneously.
A lot more likely a fuse is bad or wire plug connections aren't seated fully. Test for voltage at the fan motor when system is calling for fans to be on....
I ran test leads direct to the fans from the battery. They both run at high speed but not at low speed. Resistors must be dead.
... but shouldn't the fans have run when I jumped the high speed circuits at the relay? Or when I attempted to trigger them with the Durametric?
OK, I'm stumped.
I have power at the plugs. I have power at the fuses. I have power at the relays. I can power the fans on when I connect a jumper to 12-volts. But the fans will not turn on when I turn on the A/C or attempt to trigger with the Durametric. Could the relays be bad? Is there a way to test them?
The resistors get very brittle over time and it could be that both got damged when you pulled both.
with the durmetric can you turn on the high speed on both sides but not the low speed? If so its a resistor problem sounds like. The low speed is what kicks on when the AC is turned on and the temp isnt hot enough to engage high speed.
If u have power at the fan plug when u command it with the durametric then the relays r working. If the fan does not turn on then the ground has ro be open.
I had similar problem by not being able to turn fans on with durametric, but worked hig speed by jumping the relay on my 2001 C2. After changing the resistors, both fans work well now low adn high speed.
