Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Mounted on a 2001 base 996 I'm considering buying. I don't know this manufacturer. Are they good quality wheels? What do you think? Go ahead, pile on!

POST 2Original post

I always look at the brand of tires on used cars. Tells a lot about the current owner. Victor Equipment are decent enough for street use.

Interesting. These have Zennas mounted on them. 225/40ZR18 265/35ZR18 Never heard of them, I'm guessing they're s***. Another one I'm looking at has "new" Kumhos, he's real proud of them. I guess that's a mid-tier tire, I wouldn't have bought them and I'm not even a Michelin snob. I've had good luck with Pirellis. What tire would you be ok with IF you were buying a used base 996, street only no track use?

Falken 510 or general gmax. Firestone 500s are awful

Any name brand would be fine. A tire that no one has ever heard of on aftermarket wheels is a little bit of a red flag. Maybe the owner just like the look of those and still has the stock wheels. Ideally the best 996 to buy in my opinion is one that is as close to stock as possible.
