I have software that will reset the light permanently if everything is working as it should because my light was on for about a week when I installed a momo steering wheel and later wired in a resistor when I got some.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I apologize if this is already posted I couldn't find anything on here or youtube that helped or looked like my seat wiring or set up. I have an early year no nannies 996 throttle cable car, that does have factory power seats drivers and passenger. I installed aftermarket seats and made my own seat brackets using the factory buckles, belts and plugged those back in. My airbag light came on and I'm trying to figure out what else I'm missing. I don't see a safety bar or anything on passenger seat. I have software that will reset the light permanently if everything is working as it should because my light was on for about a week when I installed a momo steering wheel and later wired in a resistor when I got some. I also disconnected the battery before doing any work or removing the seats. All I see under the seats that I think is airbag related is the wires and plugs going to each buckle. The rest of the wiring and plugs seem to be wired into the seat motors and plug into the Recaro box under the drivers seat. Is there something else that needs to be plugged in, or grounded. Do the buckles need to be grounded by seat frame bolted in or do they ground through the plug as it appears. Previously when I removed the seats I didn't get the passenger buckle plugged in all the way and tripped the light, plugged it back in reset and it never came on again until now. That's plugged in so I think something on the drivers side is the problem. Also might be worth mentioning that although my air bag light is on I have no longer have a seat belt chime or seat belt light on the dash at all even when not buckled and I Previously did have that alarm and working light until you buckled. Any help is appreciated thanks.
All u need to do is reconnect the plug from the seat belt reciever. The rest of the power seat stuff can stay disco. Mine is worn and the seatbelt part pops out of the plug housing maybe u have a bad connection? Once the seatbelt light is triggered it takes a better scanner to turn it off. So it might be fixed already?
