Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it would be possible to fit a GT3 front bumper on a C4S? I know that the C4S is a widebody plateform, but it think the difference is only at the rear? I suppose I would not be able to fit the side skirts of the GT3, but what about front bumper? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Why would you want to? The C4S has the TT front bumper - IMHO - better looking than the GT3 bumper.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, to be honest, I like the GT3 front bumper better... not sure if I would do the swap, but I'm curious...

POST 4Original post

The C4S has the same radiators/condensors as the Turbo and they, along with their ducting, may not allow for an easy install.

POST 5Original post

I have the GT3 front bumper and I would like to swap it out for a C4S/Turbo bumper. Let me know if you are intersted maybe we can work something out

POST 6Original post

it is not possible toswap bumpers. 4S & turbo are wider tat the front.

POST 7Original post

That's not true. The bumpers are interchangeable. Look at the 40th Anniversary 911. http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p96156.htm

POST 8Original post

sorry i am wrong.!!!!! just jecked with my PET system and found out that 996 and TT have the same fronts...

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you all for you answers... I don't have a C4S yet, so it is still at an hypothetical stage right now. I will also ask my Porsche dealer about that...

POST 10Original post

Im reviving this thread as I am also tempted to do this modification to my C4S. I would also look to put the side skirts from the GT3 and only keep the turbo/4s rear bumper.

POST 11Original post

Im pretty sure the 4s uses the turbo rads and air guides. Both do not work with a gt3 bumper. The turbo rads can be made to fit but they bulge the bumper. Also the inner fender liner may be different too?

POST 12Original post

GT3 side skirts won’t fit the TT/C4S widebody.

there is a similar looking side skirt for the wide bodies. I have a set sitting in the corner. Gruppe 2.

Ouf, that's way too Fast and furious for my taste. Maybe the pictures don't do it justice with all the rest of the ricer bits. I'd be happy with the GT3 front bumper. I do appreciate the comments pointing out some of the fitting challenges and this visual modification is far on my to-do list so I'll cross that bridge when I get there. In the meantime I'm gonna showcase my amazing Paint-shop skills and show the side mockup of a C4S with GT3 front bumper.

The rest of that gruppe 2 kit in the pictures I posted is absolutely atrocious IMHO. They are a bit aggressive, which is why they are still sitting in the corner. When I mocked it up, it really throws off the balance of the lower body line. So until I can figure out a way to balance the look for the front and rear bumpers, they will continue to collect dust. The factory aero front spoiler would address the front, but I hate the look of those also compared to the stock C4S spoiler.
