Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have replaced the whole system without dropping the engine.
Leading evidence: 'Replace whole system without dropping the engine' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'stuck secondary cut-off valve' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend places vendors or tools' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
The problem you are describing is very likely a stuck secondary cut-off valve.

I just read a few really good write ups on RENNTECH and I am about to just replace all the associated parts since I am getting tired of pretending that I will guess what part or hose needs replacing.

I know if the alternator is removed I can access most of this stuff (RENNTECH ARTICLE), but I need to get deeper in there to replace more stuff and just get it all done at once.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am having issues passing emissions testing in ILL. I keep having a problem with my secondary air injection system throwing an EVAP code P0410 and P1411 right before she's ready to go and get tested.
The pump is new-ish about 2 years old and I hear it run on cold starts and I have checked it, she blows air as it should. I can only surmise that I am having some sort of issue with either the plumbing or the parts associated with the system.

So... the question is do I need to drop the engine a little bit to get all this replaced or not? I know if the alternator is removed I can access most of this stuff (RENNTECH ARTICLE), but I need to get deeper in there to replace more stuff and just get it all done at once.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
PS these are the parts that I will be replacing in this photo.
Not sure about all the parts, but when I was figuring out my smog issue (manifold vacuum leak) most of that stuff is in the big plastic intake manifold which was pretty easy to remove. If you hear the pump come on when cold and goes off you may need to look in another direction. You can test the vacuum solenoids and when it is at idle get a can of carb cleaner and spray around to find a possible leak. I did the same thing as you threw a bunch of parts at it (parts cannon as some say) but it was a leak. But I did not mind the old dawg needed some new parts anyway.
The problem you are describing is very likely a stuck secondary cut-off valve. When it fails, it fails in the closed position (for obvious reasons) and won't allow air from the SAI to flow. I would start there before I replaced everything else shown in the picture. It is the part shown in the middle with what looks like a hat on top. The part to the right that looks like a Mongolian Hot Pot won't be needed because it was superseded for the part shown in the middle with the hat (0PB-131-139 XXX).
To replace that part, you only have to remove the alternator.
BTW, I did this replacement on mine in 2022 and I am shocked at how much that part now costs!
My car already had a flash when I bought it so I havent had to go through the process myself. This might be a good place for you to start though:

That's what I did with mine. I sent the ECU and Immoblizer and keys to ECU Doctors and had them do Stage 1 and RoW flash to delete SAI. I also got one of the keys fixed so the FOB works again. I didn't want to physically delete the SAI bits in case I need to sell the car to someone that needs it for smog. Where my 996 (2000) is, it is exempt from smog.
To replace the parts above, it would be much easier to with the engine removed.
Not impossible to do with the engine just dropped a few inches, but not as easy as with it completely removed.
That's also a good time to do a lot of other "while you're in there" items as well.
Great. After 20 years in a no emissions state this is where I am at too
I'm reaching out to the vendor, thanks. The website says $499 The codes I'm getting are PO491 and PO492 is anyone has any idea if this flash will remove them permanently
I need a 6 to 9 month fix as I wait for my place in line for 4.1 build slot.
Wouldn't the SAI delete fail a smog test, though? The SAI system readiness monitor wouldn't show as Ready -- it'd report "unsupported" or something like that. In CA at least, I think that would fail the smog test, no?
