Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Installed a new bilstein b4 shock on the passenger side and it looks good. When I rotate the wheel carrier the spring and bearing up top turn nicely and the rod inside the shock remains still On the left one for some reason hand turning the bottom of the shock mimicking a tuen is allowing for the rod itself to move with the rest of the assembly. This is abnormal correct? The spring and shock base and upper bearing should turn as one leaving the rod still in 1 position? I didnt test the passenger side before it went in. But on the one I think there is a problem with the wheel hub carrier is not attached to the bottom yet. Would that make a difference and should I continue as is or is there a problem with the way I assembled this one? Bearing/ all parts are new and assembled just as it came off.
