But certainly not convenient if we are trying to replace gray parts in the near term.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Recently I was shopping for some graphite gray interior trim parts for my 02 C4S and learned that Porsche decided to not make replacement interior trim parts in that color. Anyone else struggling with this? Any alternatives or ideas for replacing these parts? I'm looking for the seat hinge caps (broke when my kid was leaving the backseat) and anti-theft sensor cover.
I did not mind paying crazy prices for these trim parts but didn't expect them to stop making it altogether, given that they still make trim parts for much older models.
Apologies if there's another thread for this, I couldn't find it.
Cheers!
Daniel
Interesting. Didn't know. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like ebay and the dismantlers will be the place to go. Let's hope it's a pause in production as they sort thru supply chain issues. Alot of graphite gray 986 and 996 interiors out there. Good news is it may create a new round of color combination ideas as a result.
What?! The most produced interior if this generation is going the way of the dinosaurs? Can you tell us which parts? I'm restoring my C2 Cab and at one point I was planning on hitting ctrl-alt-del and starting all over.
This has become and issue.
It is unfortunate- eBay it is, and hope the "dismantler" knows how to remove parts without breaking them!
PS: I'm looking for a metropol blue sunroof button surround that isn't broken.

I've been meaning to get some lvp refinisher to test out on 3d printed parts, graphite is one of the options but idk how close it will be.

How do I know what color interior I have? I have a '99 early build with a blackish grey interior. I thought it was "Black Grey" when I ordered the ash tray console swap - but when it arrived it was too black.
The black/grey one was about $45, looks like the graphite/grey one is $100-- supply demand I guess!!

The interior color is noted on the options label under the front hood. If it's gray but not as light as Graphite Grey, then I'm guesstimating your interior color is "Space Grey" and the interior code will start with "B".
Example below (not my car). The "C" in the highlighted part is the interior color. In this case, C is Graphite Gray.
Whether we like it or not, our gray interiors will gravitate towards black or tasteful combinations. Parts that we can professionally paint or can be re-apolstered can be any color. Plenty of folks have given us interior ideas over the years and more great ideas will come. Especially as more 996 restomods appear. Probably a few more companies focusing on aftermarket solutions. Not necessarily a bad thing. But certainly not convenient if we are trying to replace gray parts in the near term.

Okay, so the coffee kicked in and I decided to decode my interior color. It is listed as CB. The rabbit hole took me to a lot of lists of colors but no match. The letter c should be graphite, is the letter B for the additional trim? What's wrong with my brain? Maybe some more coffee will help.
I took this screenshot of an old thread in 2020 when I bought my 99.
It states that the first letter is leather color and the second is trim color
My 996 is CD = Graphite Grey leather with Natural Dark Grey trim
Cant confirm accuracy though
