Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Assuming I buy a UAOS-E, which other pipes should I replace while I'm in there?
Leading evidence: 'Replace while i'm in there' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace while i'm in there' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For reasons I won't go into here (unless forced by popular demand), I try to replace parts before they break and I took to heart, that little plastic connector that connects a coolant hose to the AOS, part number 996-106-226-52. I bought the URO part and as I torqued the bolt in place, the bracket snapped off (picture on left). The whole thing is made of pot metal! I ordered the two-piece billet aluminum part made by Rauch and Spiegel (on the right). It is a much better design and there is no way this is going to break. Yes, it costs 9x the URO part, but it won't break.
URO part on left and R&S on the right.
Ordering this R&S piece as I'm planning an AOS replacement soon, thanks for sharing. Also ordering the crossover pipe 996-107-147-59. Are there any other pipes that should be done?
I see the following listed as part of the AOS package on FCP but I don't know how critical they are.
Air Oil Separator Hose 996-106-208-50
Air Oil Separator Hose 996-106-224-51
Air Oil Separator Hose 996-106-223-52
OP - If you aren’t getting a UAOS yet, you won’t regret spending for the R&S. The tubes will also actually break. I had that old ‘T’ break, drop coolant all over the bay and strand my butt. Can’t overprice peace of mind. Thanks for the reminder…I need to find my now unused R&S (have UAOS now) so the next person in need can take mine.
@wyovino
Bill, I think you got one of the first UAOS kits way back in 2019-2020.....in April 2021 all those coolant lines and connections were eliminated from the UAOS System..... With the relocation of the flow control valve on the UAOS System, the heated coolant is no longer needed ...
Hello! Thanks for sharing that I don't need the R&S piece if I go with the UAOS.
Assuming I buy a UAOS-E, which other pipes should I replace while I'm in there? The crossover pipe (996-107-147-59)?
Thank You
Bradley
Thanks, seeing the OP's URO piece fail before it was even installed was all I needed to see to make me want the R&S piece.
