Replaced the headlamp switch as it seemed to be malfunctioning, Got everything swapped over fine and working, but when I went to go replace the rotary **** it doesn't click into place anymore. I see the metal bar still there, and I can get it to engage in the old switch I removed (though it goes really far back in there), but from best I can tell it, the switch stem isn't sticking out far enough that the groove gets engaged by the ****. Any thoughts?

Did you buy an original Porsche headlight switch? There was a run of aftermarket Chinese made switches that were just wrong, with the same problem you are having.

Well crap! I bought it off Pelican Parts and picked what I thought was an OEM switch. After further research it looks like it is the CN manufactured one.

Just went through the China switch from Rock Auto, no problem with refund, got one from Pelican and when I eventually turned on fogs they now will not shut off, they are now like driving lights whenever I start, also started a brake light issue with new GenuinePorsche installed. Going to swap a new one from them and see what happens. Kept the original switch to compare. The problem from start was not clicking on to any position. Does that ring with the electrical connector just distribute power to all lights?
