Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey friends, Ive got a 01 996 C4 tiptronic. Ive done a muffler delete and it automatically shifts at 6k rpms in first gear. 2-5 gear Im able to rev out to redline. Any ideas why since Ive done the delete, it cause the automatic shift?

POST 2Original post

My 99 is all stock does that too. I think it is normal. Did yours change after the muffler mod?

POST 3Original post

Muffler delete has nothing to do with the shift points....you're hearing it more now and probably never paid attention to it until now....
