Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone deleted their cats and run straight pipes? I live in Texas, so there's not an emissions or state inspection issue. I've done it before in a 392 challenger, so I don't mind the noise. With the 2001 Porsche c26, I assume there will be sensor issues that could create a fuel mixture problems? Or maybe other problems with running straight pipes,

POST 2Original post

I bought my Targa with a Fabspeed catless x-pipe and Fabspeed mufflers already on it. Sounded great but constantly threw CELs for O2 sensors - none of the standoffs or elbows I tried seemed to work. I live in Houston now and have since had to put cats back on, but I did enjoy the noise (and muscle car fuel smell) when I had no cats.

POST 3Original post

No issues with CEL. Are you a member of the LSRPCA? Come to a GTG and you can hear it for yourself.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm not worried about the sound, I'm trying not to throw a. CEL but it sounds like that's not possible

These cars are not like the new ones.....you can code it out if you were to have a CEL. There are plenty of folks in the club that have scanners that have the capability of turning it off if you were to have one. If you want, let me know and we can do it for you.

POST 6Original post

get some 200 cell cats. they clean up most of the unburned hydrocarbons so you dont stink up the air cyclists are trying to breath. cats dont reduce the power by any measureable anount

Totally disagree with your response "cats don't reduce the power by any measurable amount".......you are WAY off base.. Cats restrict power like crazy and the more you open them up the more the motor can breathe increasing power. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing cats with 200-400-600+ (cell) dyno runs.
