Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

the two wires that are disconnected on mine that supposedly go to the light are both brown and connect to terminals 15 (signal) and 30 (12v continuous) on the fuse block and they are very thin like 28 gauge.

The wires are light brown and so small you can hardly see them and no idea where they re connect but they run center of the dash area downwards.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Have a 2002 911 i got recently. Was trying to replace the ignition switch and apparently pulled a two wire bundle loose from its connecting point at the bottom of the dash. The wires are light brown and so small you can hardly see them and no idea where they re connect but they run center of the dash area downwards. The car will start and run but the security light is no longer flashing. Could these be power wires for the security light function that need to be connected to ground and 12V around the kick panel fuse block?? The key fobs have never remote unlocked the car if that matters.
these are the disconnected wires near my fuse panel that i think power the security flashing light on the dasy
That color is almost always a ground wire but i would not assume anything. U r gonna have to get your head up in there and find the other side. Removing the seat helps.
If those wires supply power to the flashing security light on the dash top, power must come from the immobilizer to tell it when to flash?? I don't have a wiring diagram that i've been able to locate where it terminates if that is the case.
it looks like this wire supplies power to the LEDs that flash intermittently on the dash top. Apparently it gets constant power from terminal 30 and a signal from terminal 15 if other threads are correct. Not sure how to find the connect points on those terminals
If they were pulled out of the relay block its not gonna be easy. U will have to start pullung a few panels and remove the relay/fuse block. Depin the relay socket and repair. The pins (connector) can be bought through in line electrical suppliers.
I thought i read that you could pull the fuse block outward w/o having to remove a panel but i might have been mistaken. I would think , at worst, the only panel would be the kick panel around the fuse block which perhaps is not that hard just cramped spaces.
the two wires that are disconnected on mine that supposedly go to the light are both brown and connect to terminals 15 (signal) and 30 (12v continuous) on the fuse block and they are very thin like 28 gauge. i appreciate the comments and hope to pull the fuse box out and find the location.
