Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I have more or less finished my interior upgrades and have attached some pics of the following upgrades: 1) New Instrument Cluster cap, black leather with red stitching 2) Rennline Aluminum shift **** 3) New Shift boot, black leather with red stitching 4) Console Cover, black leather with red stitching 5) Repadded Steering wheel, black leather with red stitching 6) New floormats with red carrera 4 embroidery. You probably sense a theme here!

POST 3Original post

I like it. Elegant and tasteful and creates identity.

POST 4Original post

Love the subtle colored theme..just right I want them for my Pika-Chu

POST 5Original post

Where did you get your steering wheel reworked?

POST 6Original post

very nice and clean, just the right dose of color to be tasteful ! the steering wheel look thicker ? did you add a layer to it so it feels thicker ?

POST 8Original post

Me like, just enough accents without going overboard.

POST 9Original post

Ditto, Ditto and ditto.......who did the wheel?

POST 10Original post

Looks good. Maybe have the rear center console covered in black leather with red stitching? Classic 9 Leather Shop, a Rennlist Sponsor, does this type of work.

POST 11Original post

yes, very nice, me likey. have been looking for ideas to brighten up the black interior. where are the mats with the red stitching from?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all. The steering wheel, shift boot and console cover were done by Dallas Steering Wheel. The instrument cluster cap was done by Classic 9 leather. Both did excellent work and I was happy with both. Yes, I am still considering having the e-brake done. I think the door pulls and map pocket covers might be the next candidates for similar black leather/red stitching treatment, but I am going to take a break for a bit. Any other ideas?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7555760

Mats were from Performance Products.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7555432

Yes, I had it done with thicker padding. The wheel is the same thickness as my M3 now.

POST 15Original post

That wheel looks great. How much was it to have done? I might get a quote to get mine wrapped.

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 7555953

Tim, you should also consider getting the storage bin lid on the center console wrapped in zebra stripe alcantera. I tried to convince Scott to do this on his white C4S, but he chickened out!

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 7555868

That may be my next mod, I hate the skinny wheel in the 996. Looks great!

POST 20Original post

Very nice! Adds a little color to the silver/black. Too bad red pinstripes on the tires are out of favor, like on the Batmobile! How hard was gluing on the leather once you received it?

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 7557637

Andy, I am sure the leather shops installed the leather on the parts and shipped the completed pieces to him.

POST 25Original post

Looks good! It doesn't have red accents but have you thought about converting to the non-smoker kit? I actually think it looks better and its a perfectly snug fit for a phone/wallet.
