Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The snow storm last night wasn't as bad as expected, so I got out today and filled the car up.
Leading evidence: 'Fill car up' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill car up' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Alright... the car is finally here. It was delivered to my office building this afternoon. Much to my surprise (I'm new at Mountain living) the forecast for this evening is 10 inches of snow. Glad I put the summer tires back on the C4S!
While unloading it from the flatbed as shown in the photo, I did get a chance to see some locals up close and personal (FYI - the spoiler is raised in the photo because the flatbed driver hit the button with his foot). The first was a woman driving a BMW X5. She pulled up right behind the truck as the car was about to be lowered to the ground. She was busy texting, so she didn't look up. I went up and knocked on her window. I explained the situation to her. She said "Am I okay here?" I said "No, I'll need you to move, if you don't mind." Her response was "Yes, I do mind!" Then she screeched away and parked two spaces over. I know it's awful that she had to walk another 20 feet. It must have been horrible for her.
About 4 minutes later, as the car was actually lowered onto the ground, a crusty elderly gentleman in an old jeep drove up and parked right behind my car. He said "Way to take up the whole f*cking road!" as he walked away. Classy.
I hope this isn't a representative sample of the Colorado locals. People in Texas don't act like this. Neither do people in Indiana.
Sorry for the rant... it just really surprised me how rudely those people behaved.
On the bright side, I'll be driving my P-car again!
Glad you and your Porsche are reunited Dennis. Don't know what to say about your reception there though. If they can't take a joke...F em! Have you put your skiis away for the season? Thanks for the pic.
I never even got my skiis out this season! They're packed up in storage until we move into the new house next week. Maybe I can still get some spring skiing in!
Some of those jerks and their comments.....I guess its true about high population areas becoming a race of rats. Maybe NY and Detroit people have been moving in there
Car looks great though. I'm sure you will manage the snow cover. Lucky you have the C4S
well thats what ya get for moving to "Elk Snort"
Geez, thats a little discomforting I am sure - GL on no pissing off the rest of the neighbors - go for a drive
its funny how areas react to cars, in my old hood my lifted 72' CJ5 was always getting the thumbsup and people asking about it, then I moved and people acted like I was going to **** on thier lawns just cuz I had it.... the P-car doesnt get the same response but still gets thumbs up in the old hood...
GL Dennis
I don't think this was a car thing so much... I've noticed that there are many, many Porsches around here. I think these people felt that I had caused them an inconvenience by having my car unloaded in the office parking lot. Hopefully these were unusual events and the rest of the Colorado people will be better!
I'm going to be shopping for a winter/airport car in the next few months anyway... maybe I'll fit in better then. I'll also avoid the strong temptation to put a Dallas Cowboys sticker on it... probably.
Sorry to hear no one was enjoying your moment; normally , people act decent in front of you then they just get over it.....
IF it was 95 degrees in the middle of the day...I would've told the lady, "And you have a nice day too....BIOTCH!"
the old man would've heard something along the lines of, "go take your stroke meds , and F**K yourself too!!"
Puta madre.... oh, wait .. that's what I'd say in Miami if someone got rude...
.
He was a long time local crusty. One of those that hate that people moved there but loves that he actually has a store and gas station with in walker distance now. We just need to have a full on PCar meet in front of his favorite bar to **** him off
How about a Rennlist CO meet soon
Who would of thought the beautiful scenery and fresh air of Colorado would turn folks into a**holes?
Well, I'm sure they were a**holes before they moved to CO.
I suspect that's the real issue w/ both individuals - there are very few natives in CO and it's turned into a big melting pot of folks. Don't even get me started on their poor driving habits - huge pet peeve of mine.
Dennis - a warm welcome to Colorado from your fellow Rennlisters - let's have a meet & greet one of these weekends in Golden or Boulder.
I lived in Colorado for three years and my parents have been living there since the early 1990s. So I visit quite often and I've yet to encounter any rude people. You must have just met some of the more recent transplants who aren't quite acclimated to the local customs yet. We have the same issue here in Charlotte too with people from other areas.
Anyway, glad to see you got your car back!
OK, it's my first post on this forum, and I just can't resist. I've lived in Colorado for well over 40 years (not a "native" however, but who cares). I'm sorry you were mistreated like that on your first day. If you're in Colorado Springs, let me know and I'll by you lunch or a beer! There are lots of the "A-team" everywhere, but many more great people here. I hope you love Colorado!
Just joined yesterday. Have had 3 Porsches since 1967 (67 912, 71 911T for 29 years, and 84 Carrera Targa for 12 years), and am looking for a nice 994 now. All 3 were perfect trouble-free cars. Great forum!
Lots of new blood - if you guys get a membership it comes with access to the "for sale" section where bargins and hard to find items are plentiful
Welcome all -
What's a 994???
What part of the Springs are you in? My parents are in the north close to the Air Force Academy. I actually went to UCCS for a year too before moving to the east coast.
Welcome!
Thanks! I'm sure that the two individuals from yesterday were just a couple of a-holes and I happened to meet them both the same day.
I just met my new neighbor, and he seems like a pretty good guy. He owns a 996 too - even better!
Hey Dennis,
Welcome to Colorado! Evergreen is beautiful. I am a new transplant as well (six months) and have had days where all I seem to run into a ******, and other days where everyone is nice as fresh baked blueberry pie. Where do you plan on servicing your baby? The reason I ask is because my store, Porsche of Boulder, would be able to offer you a coupon if you were to come up here for service. I know it's a little far, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. Hell, tell your neighbor too!

Thanks much! A 994 is a typo for a 964, and "by" is another typo for "buy" LOL!
I'm on the other end of town, south, just west of 115.
I have lots of Boulder stories about just this kind of thing you experienced...at first I thought that was where you were, but I see it's Evergreen.
Hope it warms up soon...
Dennis,
I am not a native Coloradoan but I have been here for a total of 25 years. Most folks are really pretty nice. Welcome to Colorado and don't let the two give you an impression for the many.
If you are ever up in Fort Collins (60 miles north on I-25) holler and we can go for a drive and I will treat you to lunch.
Mike
Was at a client in Longmont all day. Drove back tonight in the driving rain and the 4S was perfect.
Good to see new people from the CO area. So, Dennis, Beer's at your place
Enjoy the car in the new location--regardless of the negative vibes! If EVERYONE in Colorado could be driving Porsches their attitudes would improve!
