Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Does this oil pressure sender look like it could have been replaced last November (say 2,500 miles including winter driving)?

POST 2Original post

are your roads salty in the winter and did you drive it all winter?

POST 3Original post

That AC tube looks like it has smudges on it, and the plastic tubing from which the leads extend has clearly been handled. Do I see the hint of shiny metal on the edge of where the unit screws in, possibly due to a wrench being turned against it? Who knows? Why do you care?

POST 5Original post

Looks a lot newer than the one I took off my 2000 last fall when I replaced it. 9 winters in Chicago really shows a lot of corrosion on these parts.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I disassembled and inspected. Looks new. Thanks for the confirmations I appear to have an oil pressure gauge (or just pressure) issue and am trying to solve the issue by process of elimination.
