Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi My rear spoiler no longer automatically deploys or goes back down when I reach the pre set speed requirements (usually stays up) & dash warning light is always on. Diagnostic shows a spoiler malfunction code. If spoiler is down and I press the manual spoiler up button for "poser mode", the spoiler will continue to jump around in the track after it's all the way up. Not a big fan of my indie's suggestions to replace the entire unit, get a fixed wing or pull the plug and leave it up Any other (less expensive) options exist? Thanks much. BTW - I searched through 20 some pages of spoiler threads without finding similar situation.

POST 2Original post

if its the actual unit (motor and lift ***) I have one in the garage I will make ya a sweet deal on) I am not diagnosising your problem... just offering analternative to buying a new replacement - that said IMO I dont know why the assy would act funny.

POST 3Original post

Is there a 996 part that Ed doesn't "have in his garage"? Hey, Ed. I am missing the seat belt latch cover for my passenger side rear seat. Got one?

POST 4Original post

No - funny mine was missing that too... hard to find, but if I run across one, I will be sure to buy 3-4 of them

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ed - I saw some of your previous posts about the spoiler gathering dust in your garage during my search and was hoping you'd reply. Please post or PM me the price, color, location and MY of your unit. Thanks much
