I found it to be a big advantage at the track, too, as it's just so nice to be able to flick gear changes with your thumb with both hands on the wheel.

Suggestion

She loved my old SC but had issues using the floor mounted pedals (not that she's good with shifting anyway) so I got the Tip because I wanted her to be able to drive this one.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/...?itemid=578647 Wow...even with the miles that is a mega low price.

POST 2Original post

wow... though it looks like it got hit at the left front bumper/lights... pretty nice for a track project!

POST 4Original post

Not a bad deal. Mine was nearly the exact same car (no accident history though) and it had maybe 120k when I sold it and I got quite a bit more for mine a few months ago.

speaking of dating, you know what dating an ugly girl with a flat chest and driving a mo-ped have in common... they are both fun to ride, till you see some friends......... (you know how easy that would have been Tim)

pics - ? of - ? CHESTS ! ! !

I thought that would get a response from a Tip owner. I was just trying to a little because the forum has been a little slow lately. Frankly, that comment was made for Nicholaas' benefit. While there is nothing wrong with a woman with a flat chest, large breasts are, IMO, more fun. There is nothing wrong with a Tip, I just think the 6-speed allows you a little more direct interaction with the car. Requests for pics?? Awesome!!! Well first off, no ugly flat chested women pics. How about a few good interior shots (I'm talking about cars now) of the front dash along with some nice rear end shots (I'm still talking about cars here).

POST 12Original post

As a DD andwhere in the US with traffic conjestion... how could you put up with anything other than a tip? That was the real clencher for me. I want to love my Porsche, not hate it two hours a day! I found it to be a big advantage at the track, too, as it's just so nice to be able to flick gear changes with your thumb with both hands on the wheel. Not to mention allowing for smooth shifts during hard cornering that would cause lift oversteer or other "bad" things with a clutch. I find myself downshifting into a lot more corners than the manual guys (and thus getting right in the power-band and coming out faster), just because it's so effortless to shift with a tip. Between tip and PSM, I liken it to driving with cheat mode on.

POST 13Original post

He hits me with masturbation jokes and Nicholaas with chest references. Now, Tim - are you getting just a wee bit frustrated down there in Dallas?? Honda's just not doing it for you is it? Someone's got to buy this guy a Porsche to take his mind out of the gutter and back into the street.

POST 14Original post

I offered to let him drive mine, but after that drive in the 997 and all the time on the 997 boards, he might be above that....

Frustrated??? ME???? What in the blue hell gave you that idea??? And I greatly appreciate the offer. ".... above that..." No way, that's not who I am. I would love to have or drive another 996, but you are a little far away to just "drop on by for a drive."

Me knows - and you know I am just busting your b@lls !! It would be cool though to let you take it out for a while and give me some pointers on where to best place my new Wing and tail lights

I agree. My comment was totally "tongue in cheek" and I meant no harm. If I had a stop-and-go commute every day, I would probably opt for a Tip. However, when I had my 996, I didn't experience that type of traffic so I could get a 6-speed. The few times I was stick in stop-and-go traffic due to an accident or road construction, it was tedious with the stick.

I didn't take your post as a stab for Tip owners - as for pics I don't have any of her in the car so I'll have to find something I can post here within' limits

POST 19Original post

I don't have any rear end shots I can publish so, I'll start with this

POST 20Original post

WOW!!! I asked for car pics and you post wife (or gf) pics! Well screw the car pics!!! Awesome pic! Very tasteful, and very appealing and I say that with the highest respect for your lady!

POST 21Original post

Thanks for the compliments Tim - I read between the lines of your requests She loved my old SC but had issues using the floor mounted pedals (not that she's good with shifting anyway) so I got the Tip because I wanted her to be able to drive this one. I'll send some pics of her with the car via PM - funny thing I posted this picture and there's 90+ views and only yourreply, I guess you're a glutton for pics Tim LOL

POST 22Original post

Yes, I am a glutton for pics, but I truly appreciate the human form, especially when it looks like that!!

POST 23Original post

Could be a flood car too... who knows.... "if seems to good to be true... it probably is..."

POST 24Original post
