This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I don't know if the RS flywheel will fit or not. I think the selection is relatively limited because you need an 8 bolt flywheel, and many have a 9 bolt pattern. However, search is your friend . There are 48 threads on the 996 Forum with the word "flywheel" in the title. Here is one of the threads. AASCO Flywheel

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi gota911, I was looking for another option beside the wide offering of the aluminum flywheels (because of the noise that they make), then I read an article called "Flywheels - On the fly" on the europeancarweb, and it mentioned the big advantage of the Single Mass Flywheel over the Dual mass, that beside the increased performance, it made some noise, (but probably not that noisy compared with the aluminum flywheels), also mentioned that Porsche went with this decision for better performance in the GT3, I found that the 03-04 Porsche 996 GT3 Carrera RS has it, and that part weights 11.5 lbs.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
