I suspect the Fabspeed would make more of a noticeable improvement on a 996, which is way too quiet for my taste in stock form.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone here around Dallas, Tx running w/ Fabspeed exhaust. The MP3 files on the net are great, but nothing beats sitting right in front of it for comparison. Really been thinking about going with Vivid's deal.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How are you liking those? Did you look at the fabspeed?

POST 5Original post

I put PSE on my 04 996, then traded it. I put Fabspeed on my 997S a week ago, and wasn't happy, and today I am putting PSE on. The Fabspeed is getting a little louder, maybe its breaking in. I suspect the Fabspeed would make more of a noticeable improvement on a 996, which is way too quiet for my taste in stock form. The 997S stock exhaust is about midway between 996 stock and 996 PSE. In any case, the Fabspeed seems to be a "smoother", slightly "muffled" kind of sound, whereas the PSE has more of a deep, burbly, growly sound. I STRONGLY suggest you hear Fabspeed in person before buying it, to make sure it is suitable to your taste. I'm not knocking Fabspeed, but to me there is a noticeably different sound to it than PSE.

POST 6Original post

Looked at GHL, PSE, B&B, Fabspeed and Supersprint (in Tyler Tx). Ended up with GHL on a group buy and have no regrets. Mostly quiet until throtle, then it'll wail and bark.

POST 7Original post

I still back Fabspeed. I ran GHL, SuperSprint, B&B, and factory. I love everyday driving in my Fabspeed!
