Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The only big issue was a freight train I waited 20 mins for before I decided to go around the long way.

The only real corrosion issue on my 996 is around the brake shields, parking brake components, and the 22 year-old rotors I pulled off last year and replaced with Zimmerman coated rotors.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We have only 2 cars, and the wife needed hers today, so sometimes you just have to drive it. Im not worried. No winter storage, no trickle charger, no overinflation on the tires. Just a car that gets driven. Pure joy.
Good. I passed everyone on the highway. The only big issue was a freight train I waited 20 mins for before I decided to go around the long way. So a 30-min commute turning into 45-mins with the snow turned into over an hour.
I havent had a chance to put my winter wheels/tires on (yet - my garage/shop is about 45 miles away😩
but Ive gotten it out several times regardless - not in the snow though 😉
Yes, but its sooooo worth it. My cars value may have gone up $10k in a year, but I lost way more than that just existing in a 7% inflation market. The only real corrosion issue on my 996 is around the brake shields, parking brake components, and the 22 year-old rotors I pulled off last year and replaced with Zimmerman coated rotors. And an exhaust coupler that was not a Porsche part some mechanic used. No other issues with salt anywhere else.
Before you get too confident, pull off those little plastic pieces that are just in front of the rear wheels and make sure youve got no rot where the wheel arch meets the rocker panel good luck!
Talk about cold water... You need to go back over to the thread you started and update or at least reply to the questions.
You said your 996 was the worse purchase and that you're planning to sell it. At least have the decency to go over and follow up on the sell before you "leave the building".
