Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I am new to the forum and hope to pick up some info about my car. It is a Silver 2001 996 coupe. I have had the car for about 4 years have put 32K miles on it in that time, and with the exception of a set of the "sport design 18' wheels, I have done very little in the way of modifications, just the regular dealer services - I will probably get some new tires very soon. It has the Bridgestone S02s currently and they are not wearing too well - any suggestions? Thanks! Sunil

POST 2Original post

POST 14Original post

One thought on tires beyond brand... While occasionally you can get lucky with one of the local discount chains, it is usually better to find an independent shop that specializes in high performance tires. This is particularly true when it comes to alignment. These cars demand precise adjustments in alignment to both achieve proper handling and avoid rapid tire wear. Rennlist and/or your local PCA region can make recommendations if you don't know a good shop.
