Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

That'd be awesome, unfortunately is illegal to import used cars, except the government for special purpose vehicles (military, ambulances, etc.).

For example if you ever watch the show Top Gear you'll hear them talk about prices (in pounds of course) and when you run the comparison in your head it's unbelievable.

I guess we should start importing used Porsches to Indonesia!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Just a trivial fact, but to some of us, I guess might be more relevant
Note: Income/Capita is adjusted to Consumer Price Index in respective countries.
Mind boggling, isn't it. FYI: The Prices are from Porsche official websites, w/ local taxes applied, I assumed. The Income Per Capita is from:

Porsche owners in Indonesia, I'd think be in low mid 3-digit #s (throughout the years). However, I'd think in %age retained/re-sell value, we might be in the top list (maybe I should gather those info for comparison). Ex. 1996, 993 Targa (25K miles) is selling @USD 119K
Prices in various countries depend largely on the local import tariffs, luxury taxes, engine size, & DEALER's MARGIN
You're right, wouldn't that b great. That'd be awesome, unfortunately is illegal to import used cars, except the government for special purpose vehicles (military, ambulances, etc.). At least we know how much the Gov't is making in those import tariffs
Are the calculations correct? US$ price should be Local Price / Exchange Rate
e.g. Canada's US$ price should be (96,700/1.04) = $92,980; not $100,568
Additionally, some of the exchange rates listed are incorrect (1.1 AUS$ = 1US$, not 0.9). This will change the value in US$ to 202,432.
Hence the reason after spending three weeks in 3 major cities in China (Beijing, Xi'an and GUangzhou) I didn't even see one Porsche (US$207K). Although a Ferrari F430 pulled up to our hotel in Guangzhou - that must have been a pretty penny!
Singapore has insanely high taxes on their cars, and on gas as well. As such, nearly every car there is insanely nice, all the taxis are Mercedes, etc; I mean, who buys a $200k Kia when you could pay $269k for a C2S? They have laws requiring people who drive to Indonesia to leave with a full tank of gas, because people would drive across the border for cheaper fuel to avoid the taxes.
Their public transportation is a lot better than in the US, though, so having a car there is a luxury, not a requirement.
Anyone here in Singapore or Indonesia that can shed some light on the specifics?
I'm always amazed by how inexpensive we tend to get cars here in the U.S.
For example if you ever watch the show Top Gear you'll hear them talk about prices (in pounds of course) and when you run the comparison in your head it's unbelievable. Top that with the price of gas in most other nations and we definitely have it easy here.
