Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
50 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Found myself looking at the other Porsches I have had.
Don't have a pic of the old 914 but here is my second P-Car (1967 911) and 3rd (1986 Carrera).
Show us what you got! (or had that is).
I still miss my '03 986S. Here's my last day with her, driving to a new owner...

I see quite a few posts here lamenting the lack of "soul" in the Boxster and watercooled P-cars in general. I think what gives these cars their "soul" is the enthusiasm of their owners, and I think there are many out there who love the Boxster as much as or more than the "old guard" who stand by the classic 911.
Love the cars posted so far. Let's see more!
Great pics all.
I can still remember when I was a young guy working as a parking lot attendant, and seeing a 928S4 parked on the lot...man was I awestruck.
And Sneaky Pete, I gotta agree w/ sparks259. I would kill for that '67, and what a color.
It was a great color.....Ossi Blue. The car had a 2.7L in it and went like a bat out of hell. Notice the high tech 'Outside Temp' gauge. It also had a electric sunroof that worked.
Here is some more pics to make me feel worse!
Pete, when did you part with the '67?
Looks like a Nardi wheel?
I drove a near new 911S for a couple of days back in the late '60s. Wow, what a treat is all I can say! Probably like driving an Enzo or something in the same league today.
Nick, I sold the car about 4 years ago to guy in CT. He was going to do a full restoration on it. The wheel was a Nardi and I really liked the shift pattern the 901? had. Now those cars are getting mid 20's to low 30's. I kick myself for what I sold it for! It is really something how the lines have not changed much from then to now......but the handling sure has! That car got me hooked line and sinker.
One more for old times sake.....love that butt
Ah, the stuff of long-term dreams. I love seeing all these pics - great idea for a thread! So far I've been a 996 guy.....
Here's my current 2001 Turbo:
Just prior, I had a 2001 coupe:
And my very first Porsche was a 1999 cabriolet:
Isn't it great when dreams can become a reality?
Yeah - for the money I'm willing to spend, these cars represent the best bang for my buck. I didn't really like the black coupe very much, but I loved my cab (1st Porsche - of course I would), and this turbo is just plain ridiculous.
I love the 993s, but didn't want to pony up more $$ for an older car, and I'm not too in love with the 997s that I can afford. Maybe someday I'll step into a newer turbo or a GT3 - or if my lottery tickets ever hit, a CGT.
Here are a couple of photos of mine...a 1991 944 S2 Cabrio. I wanted one when I first saw it in Germany in 1989. But I was in high school so it was pretty much a dream. But anyway I finally purchased it in 2002 and kept it till this past April.
My first car - a '73 914 2.0l with the Appearance Group. Too bad it had so much rust. Sure was fun though.
Turns out the elderly German lady who I moved in next door to has....a black '73 914 2.0l with the Appearance Group. Second owner, bought in '76. All original except for a repaint a few years back. Car now has over 400,000 miles on it and runs like a champ!
86 944 that I had since 2001 and my current Boxster S that I may be putting up for sale to get a 996TT soon.
I have a photo somewhere of my first day with the 944. I will have to look for that one then edit the post.
This did turn out to be a cool thread. We are some unique folks...
To Judd944....do you me send you some of my crap from my garage....its looks like a prison in there...
I'll Play.
First P-car was a 1979 911 SC. I bought it in 2001 when I was 26.
Then a 1990 C2. Actually convinced the wife to own two at the same time.
a 1970 911T with SC flares
a 1955 550 replica by vintage spyders
Last P car was a 1983 911 SC that had just 44K miles when I sold it.
Now I have 4 kids and no Porsche but actively looking for the right car.
Enjoy the photos.
While not my car (this photo from a for sale posting on Pelican), this was exactly (the tires on this one look wider than the originals) my first Porsche, bought new in 1973. I put 50,000 miles on it in 18 months and traded it for a 1974 BMW tii
I remember driving from Chapel Hill to Long Island in December '73, just after the 55 mph national limit went into effect, and having to shift down to 4th gear to get heat at 60 mph !!
I bought this Minerva Blue 911SC in 1997. It was transformed over the years from a well sorted driver to a fire breathing monster.
The last pic is the day I sold it...that's my first 996 behind it there.
My first Porsche
1985 Early...w/ 86 Turbo Brakes/Suspension/Rollbar/Custom Exhuast/Turbo Nose/Fiberglass Rear Bumper and A/c Delete and a full Interioir Gut
My undying Renlist support....see windshield banner...this drift was not recovered...not enough power to pull it self out of this one..
My Second...
1982 911SC w/ 1987 Euro Spec Motor 240hp / Dual Oil Coolers / Fiberglass Nose and Fenders / Turbo Brakes and suspension /16" BBS
I love Porsches..
