Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I found an interesting write-up on Engine Management Systems and the Cam Timing Control and wanted to post it in a thread. I scanned it in in both PDF and JPEG. However the PDF seems to show as an attached file, not the actual image, and the JPEG is far to large a file to attach. I also can't just copy the page with my Adobe reader and paste it in the thread. I used to be albe to do this but now all I get is the text with no pictures. If someone can give me some help here I think the info would be interesting reading for alot of members. Doug

POST 2Original post

Doug, You can open the JPEG up in Microsoft Picture Manager, if you have it from Microsoft Office, and resize it in there or email me the file at "chaohsu74 @ yahoo.com" no spaces and I will post it. Resolution will not be great because of size limitation in attachments on the forum.

POST 3Original post

Upload your photos to flickr and link them to the postings. You have to open an account with Flickr but it's free.... You can put Big photos in posts that way.

POST 4Original post

Office picture manager doesn't offer a save for internet like adobe photo shop. But the office program can really reduce file size pretty good some times. Click edit on top to get to that menu. If you have adobe photo shop you can open a pdf with it then see a box wanting you to pick what page of the pdf you want to open as a picture. Then go under the file menu for save for web. You'll see the size of the file under the right side picture that is shown as its actual size and clarity.

POST 5Original post

Click on "Edit Pictures" on the top tool bar and choose a predefined size. I use the "web large 640 X 480" and it works well for posting pics.
