Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Is it ok use Sta-Bil in my gas for my 99 porsche?

POST 2Original post

Every fall, without fail. I use it systematically in everything that has an engine in it.

POST 3Original post

There should be instructions of how many ounces to gallons of fuel. You can up to double the dose for extended time coverage or extra protection. If the car is outside I'd doble dose to fight condensation that forms.

These cars with their sealed gas tanks and composite tanks don't condense water out of the "air" that is in the gas tank like vehicles of old that had unsealed -- vented to atmosphere -- and steel tanks. There is no exchange of air as the car sits. With older cars the gas tanks would "breathe" and could gradually build up some water from condensing the water from the air that entered the gas tank. Sta-bil a good thing to use, but I see no reason to double the strength of the dose. It probably is harmless and the cost is of no consequence though. Sincerely, Macster.
