Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
Rennlist: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Because of the fact that she resolved the problem quickly and IMO properly, i will continue to recommend them.
The good: I got my passenger side GT3 seat and harness in.
The Bad: The dealership i ordered from sent me two passenger side ones.
The Ugly: They Want me to pay for shipping back the incorrect one they sent out. Come on. They dropped the ball on this one, they should pick up the tab for it. I wouldn't be complaining if it was just like 20$..but 150$ is a lot of shipping.
The funny: They thought that my car was RHD even though they know i was in Canada. I mean, i know that the southerners don't know much about their northerly neighbore, but come on.
Sorry for hogging the webspace, i'm just pissed because its a PITA getting these things in, and i was looking forward to taking the car out soon. Hmm.. maybe i might still. if u see a brown guy sitting on a milk crate, you'll know who it is.
And who is the great vendor you did this business with? I can't believe they are not paying return shipping for sending you the wrwong unit! I would be on the phone with the GM.
I had something like that happen with a piece of furniture.....I told them it was in my garage, and when they wanted it, they could pick it up.....9 months later, it's still there. Unless there's more to the story, I wouldn't lift a finger.....did you pay by credit card? If so, I'd call the credit card company, and tell the story, to create a file.
good luck
Have to agree with Richard on this one (even though he does root for the Yanks
). If I were you I would do just that, call you CC company and dispute the charges. They didn't send you what you paid for. end of story.
It is ridiculous for them to think you are going to pay for the shipping of their mistake. It is not like you ordered something and it didnt work because of your miscalculations. They made the mistake not you, dispute it with the credit card company.
I am not sure what to thing about the RHD issue. It is either really funny or horribly depressing. I am leaning towards depressing.the ignorance about our neighbors is terrible.
Payment was by credit card. I won't mention the dealer's name as I will give them a chance to clear this up and don't want to make a big bruhaha...yet.
i'll let you know how this turns out.
How does the $150 come together? A combination of shipping costs/UPS charges/taxes?
It's a problem for Canadians ordering in the States, you have to be careful not to pay too many charges, but it's more dangerous buying in Canada because Canadian prices are often a total joke. I just ordered a set of glow plugs inc. cover gaskets for my F350 in the States, total price $ 160 Canadian inc. everything. In Canada the lowest price I found was $650!!!
I usually end up buying autoparts on ebay, make sure beforehand that the vendor puts a tax friendly value on it and wait a week or two to get. Can't get it any cheaper.
Situation has been resolved with great satisfaction. I spoke directly with the parts manager for like two minutes, and she agreed that they should pick up the tab for shipping. Because of the fact that she resolved the problem quickly and IMO properly, i will continue to recommend them. The dealer was Park Place Porsche in dallas texas i believe.
Glad to hear it was resolved to YOUR satisfaction! I have done business with them in the past (both Porsche and MB) and had a problem with shipping once and they sent out a new item immediately on them (covered shipping AND refunded my money). Obviously not seats but still, it was $50 back into my pocket.
Glad it was resolved, was just going to order a drivers GT3 Seat from of all places Park PLace in Texas - I will take the steps in making certain the right one is shipped and/or that my A...s is covered - Great price on those GT3 by the way - Did you order the subs and belts to go with it Dead eye. BT the way $150 is cheap for shipping.
Pierre
yeah i ordered the subs. for belts i'm using sparco's instea because i got a complete set for driver and passenger for only like 370$ canadian, as opposed 2 the porsche ones which are 420US per side.
Translog, if you're in Montreal, contact RMR Autosport for Sparcos. They carry the full line in stock so you can sit in them and see how well you fit in each model and size.
Dead-Eye, good thing you got things sorted out. You're not the first to mention this mistake.
