I really thought I wanted a tiptronic, but the 6spd was a hoot, and did not bother my knee at all (clutch was soft, unlike my old 83SC or any other 996's I've tested so far.

Interior is clean, some small scratches on plastic, as expected on a 6.5 year old car.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I thought the deal was to good to be true. The owner wanted $29k for his 02 C4 Cab with Tiptronic - seal grey, grey and grey with sport wheels. Always dealer serviced with 45k miles. Oh well. But I did find an 03 Black C2 Cab 6spd. I really thought I wanted a tiptronic, but the 6spd was a hoot, and did not bother my knee at all (clutch was soft, unlike my old 83SC or any other 996's I've tested so far. What do you guys think this 03 C2 is worth? It is at a P-dealership, but no CPO warranty (30 days only on drivetrain). Car has lready had three owners, came from Florida, dealership bought at an auto auction in PA. It is triple black, 6 spd, heated seats, 19" (not 18") sport classic II's (not sure if factory or aftermarket) with good tires. Interior is clean, some small scratches on plastic, as expected on a 6.5 year old car. Car is a real eye catcher due to the rims and a Factory Aero kit. I was surprised when they said it was not CPO warrantied car, but they said if I paid full price, they would give me a CPO warranty good until 1/2011. So, I'm not going to tell you guys the asking price (the car has been sitting on their lot for a long time now), as I was wondering what you thought this might be worth without a warranty (assuming no leaks, problems, etc.). No other options other than the Aero, heated seats, 19" rims, and Navigation (it said "insert disk" on the screen? Forgot to ask if it worked). The suggested prices by Edmunds.com, kbb.com and nadaguides.com all vary radically. I don't get that?? P.S. I saw the new 09 Porsche transmission - the sequential double clutch auto/manual. There is no more tiptronic. This new trans in the new 997 seems really cool. I can't wait to get one, in about a decade.
