Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey,
I want to replace the blanks beneath the ash tray or in the dash in my 996 with on/off type switches (like the rear defroster or PCM off) so i can use them for my helmet cooler power and cool suit power.
I can't use side window switches since they don't stay on full time and i don't know how to modify them.
I can't find these anywhere! any 996 or Boxter will work.
Thx,
V
As far as I know all the switches used to fill those type holes are momentary switches. They all use a relay of some sort to power their respective circuits.

what about the ones for power seats? or PSE or even the rear wiper? I don't think the momentary thing is on the switch but rather on the circuit of the device the switch is controlling...
They sell those at Suncoast Porsche.... $23-$35-ish each
