Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do I know if my rotors need to be replaced? What do I look for? Thanks guys!

POST 2Original post

Do they have any cracking? Since you don't track I would assume no. The next is to measure the thickness with a micrometer.

POST 3Original post

Two ways that I know of: 1. There should be a specification on how narrow they can get. That is in the shop manual. It is measured with a micrometer as LVDell says. 2. If you feel vibration or pulsation when under braking, especially at high speeds. You may need new ones. Tony C

If this is the case it would typically be pad material uneven buildup. A simple bedding to "clean" the rotor would be the ticket. Or machine the machine clean.

POST 5Original post

FYI...the min thickness is 26mm and 22mm front and rear respectively. They start life at 28 and 24.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
