Was not exactly legal in VA but they look so good up there with the clean nose how could a cop have brought himself to cite me?

I would like to get a day drive up whern the weather isn't a concern and before the roads get filled with vacationrts and club events.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Having just moved down here last weekend for a new job, was wondering how many 996 rennlisters are in town? Saw a sweet SY Turbo in the garage I park in yesterday and got me thinking about getting some people together for a meet.
I'm not in Charlotte - I'm in Apex (next to Cary). It's "the Peak of Good Livin'"
. I'll be in Charlotte for the Parade - Hope to meet you there, along with the other Rennlisters who come in for Parade. Check out the Porsche Parade thread to find out more (if you don't know about it already).
Bob
Not in Charlotte, but can be there in 15 to 30 minutes. PAT056 who also is a member here lives just down the road from me.
I'd be up for a meet, even a drive sometime.
Charlotte, and a Charlotte native to boot here.
Hey Tim, congrats on the job buddy! Email me details. Hope it's as an illustrator for a picture site.
95993, welcome to Charlotte! Happy to 'splain how things are around here from a native's perspective. Live near SouthPark, office is near Matthews, but I know the town.

Welcome to the "Queen City", home of Parade 2008.
I was out at a BMW CCA & Carolinas PCA "swap meet" this morning, which was well attended.
There are quite a few Rennlisters in town as well.
Carolinas PCA has a DE at CMP in Kershaw SC this weekend, about an hour south of the city.
Again, welcome.
Good to see all the Charlotte people on this list. I get up there on occasion. Will be there for the parade this summer.
If you come down to the beach --- Myrtle Beach let us know a bunch of us -- Porsche guys get together and go for drives about once a month.

What a great response guys!
Tom - I tried to sign up for the Kershaw event at the beggining of last week (instructor) and after sending in the check they told me the event was full. Huge bummer as was looking forward to getting the 996 out on track for the first time. BTW- I was already warned about you and your red wheels by Quentin over at the dealership
ERic - I have your plugs on the front of my car. Was not exactly legal in VA but they look so good up there with the clean nose how could a cop have brought himself to cite me?
I am working for BOA in IT and first week has been great. Work is close to the stadium and so far my team looks good and the work interesting. Living southern area for now while my wife and I sell our place up north in this very active and increasing value market...
Anyway the big question is where are there good roads with a decent place to meet up and maybe catch a bit to eat? I know next to nothing about the area so will obviously need some help with that one....
Northwest Greensboro- Summerfield, NC
If anyone is interested I can take guests to VIR Clubs days. It would be great to get a fellow Rennlister out on the track with me. Go to VIRClub.com for more info and dates. PM me if interested.
Not sure about good roads around here. A few hours away there is the Asheville, Little Switzerland, and of course the Dragon. I
I would like to get a day drive up whern the weather isn't a concern and before the roads get filled with vacationrts and club events.
Here's a link to the Parade this summer. We should have a get together this week for all the Rennlisters coming in.

By the way, I'm volunteering and iattending the meetings, they are expecting it to fill quickly the first day. If you want to attend a function or event I'd advise to register as soon as it opens.
Welcome to Charlotte and to the Bank. I think I actually drove your Dad's 911 a couple of weeks ago and he told me his son was moving to Charlotte and working in IT at the Bank. Am I making the right connection? I left my email address with him. Let me know if you need anything.
Rick
One drive I took from Charlotte a few years back (as sponsor of Blue Ridge Boxster Summit - and yes they let in 911's too)....
North on 321 from Charlotte (now some sections are under construction), west on I-40, then up 181 to Grandfather Mountain/Linville area, then 221 right to Grandfather.
Nice wide sweepers, very little traffic (it was 6am when I left, on top of the mtn at 8am).
We had a photo shoot on top of the mtn as the fog rolled in. Awesome.
Rick - your spidey sense is strong. He is re-thinking selling the car at this point as both my parents enjoy the car tremendously.
Zoolander -what is the cost for a guest at VIR club? I love that track and have been going and instructing there since the innagural year.
9593-The cost is $150 for a full day. It is likely that even though you have track/instructor experience they would still have you run in the beginner group with a pace car which might bore you to death. I have heard rumors of that policy changing.
Zoolander - wow that would be a tremendous bore having raced with HSR and instructed there for 5 years with PCA and Audi. With Audi club I instruct for free and only have one student.
So looks like we have a good number of folks. I will try to come up with a date that woudl work for most and via PM get together a route or two for options...
If you mean my avatar photo, yes.
That was at the July DE at Lowes, a prelude to the DE events the weekend after Parade.
If you are still house shopping, you should consider some of the older neighborhoods closer in, such as Myers Park, Dilworth, Eastover or Elizabeth as you search. So many folks move in from out of town and never even look at these areas. (No, I am NOT in the real estate business)
Again, welcome to Charlotte. See you on the track at some point.

I'm a native to Charlotte, just happened to have moved a little south to Rock Hill, SC (about 20 minutes from DT Charlotte).
I'm a member of PCA and NASA and have instructed for PCA. BMW,Audi, Mustang Club, Corvette Club...anyway check out
www.nasaproracing.com
. Although I only race w/them, I think they're regularly looking for instructors. The director is Jim Pantas.
Welcome to the area. Let me know if you need any advice on shops or whatever!!
