I have aftermarket Victor Innsbrucks on my 99 C2, two of those wheels needed repair due to pothole damage a few months ago and I used my standard set of 17 inch wheels for a week.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

...Over how bad it looked. Man that just looks wrong after looking at some big ole' 295's out back on 19" Lobster Forks . My 19's front tires were about bald and the 17's are nearly new, so I figured I'd throw the 17's on for a bit to see how I liked them again... man even my wife thought it was bad. I immediately went inside and ordered some new Hankook V12's. BTW I have 15mm spacers up front and I'm pretty sure I could have gotten another 12mm of spacing before they were out to where I like them. The rears needed about 15mm to be in the right spot. Anyway... thought I'd share my scare with you... sorry no IMS paranoia in here. KK you suck they're not lobster claws they're lobster forks. -Mag

POST 2Original post

It must be a shock going from 19 to 17. I have 17 and will be going to 18 when I find the right wheels for me. Having said that I had my 17 powder coated black to see if I would like that and I must say the 17 don't look as bad in that color. It sort of blends in. https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...1&d=1449021821

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yours look waaaayyy better than mine. Looks like your car is lowered too which helps. I don't mind the diameter of the 17" wheels so much as I do the offset. They're just tucked in too far for my taste. Plus the meaty 295's is just gangster.

POST 4Original post

I do have 10mm spacers all round and that helps the stance

I have aftermarket Victor Innsbrucks on my 99 C2, two of those wheels needed repair due to pothole damage a few months ago and I used my standard set of 17 inch wheels for a week. The 17 inch didn't look right but the ride and general feel of the car was so much nicer!!

POST 7Original post

The lobster fork rims are one of the ugliest Porsche ever made.

Funny because they are my favorite of all the 996/997 wheels.

POST 9Original post

I'm actually pretty happy with the stocks 17's in black, though I agree it would be even better with spacers. I'm still on the stock suspension, as well.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You guys' niners look nice with the black 17's. Mine looks like a cheap toy with them on.
