Also replaced my lip spoiler on my TT bumper...so new plastic window next week and the exterior stuff is just about done.

So I assume its the switch, but I thought I'd check before I pull out my center console and go trying to replace the brake switch.

thx....I replaced the switch today.....$15 switch and all is good...I dont wanna go back in there again so I figured I would just replace the switch...it was intermittent...I did get the original switch to work on the way to the dealer, but I just swapped it out.

So I was sitting in the drive through and I pull up the parking brake and the dash light does not go on. So I assume its the switch, but I thought I'd check before I pull out my center console and go trying to replace the brake switch. Can it be a fuse?

It looks like the switch is normally closed to ground. You pull the brake, it opens. No fuse. Does the light work on bulb check? If so, I'd guess the switch.

If I'm reading the print right, you should be able to unplug it and see the light come on. If so, certainly the switch. It may just be stuck.

newport, mine did the same thing. if you pull the side panel off from the side of the parking brake handle, you can see the wire connection for the switch. with some needle nose pliers or something similar, you can reach in there and pull out the switch. spray it good with contact cleaner - I sprayed both sides, and plug it back in. Hopefully that should do the trick. I have not had a problem with mine since I sprayed it a few months ago. you can also take the center console off and get to it also, but this just saves time if you can reach it.
