I was lucky to find one locally and drove to the sellers house, test fitted/function tested everything and drove home with the top on.

Hope it is OK to post this here... This is not my top but my neighbors I am helping her sell. Seems like prices are all over the place and dealer asking 6K new?
Ebay asking prices 1200-2000? Then you see what some have actually sold for and closer to 600-900?
Is asking 800 fair? Open to reasonable offers.... Black headliner and overall in good condition. Getting pics shortly. Thanks all...

$800 is a good asking price. Have a bottom line number in mind. Also, I'd recommend taking a photo of the mount type below the rear window. There were two types over the years, a bayonette type and a screw type. This will be good info to know.
You may look into shipping as well to get some idea in the event that you have to ship to a final destination.

In addition to pics of the mounts, good photos of the headliner (specify the color in the ad if black, blue, etc.) will also help. Other questions I had when I was shopping a few years ago:
* rear defrosters work?
* cover for front latch available?
* wrench to lock down the top available?
* square plastic grille to cover the mounts available?
* have mount and cover for the the top (may be sold separately)
I was lucky to find one locally and drove to the sellers house, test fitted/function tested everything and drove home with the top on. Had a steal of a deal since stand/cover were included for waaay less than $800 but YMMV. BUT.....I had to buy the other extra plastic pieces and the front latch cover alone is around $75.
