Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is it possible to adjust the point at which the clutch needs to be depressed in order to engage the starter? It seems like I have to push the clutch pedal through the floor to start the car (even without floor mats), which didin't seem to be the case when the car was younger. Or is my "kill-switch" just dying? I'm afraid I'll get stuck some day with an immobilized car because of this stupid safety feature.

Thanks for the advice, guys! I wondered if leaving the switch "on" would create problems, but since you've apparently gotten away with it, I'll give it a try! Thanks again.

Ecirdee - I recall seeing recent pics of your car with some new mods. IMO, your car no longer resembles your avatar pic, which BTW, does not do your car justice. You need to change the avatar pic.
Yeah but if you put the clutch in with cruise on, wont the cruise shut off? I could swear that it does. Imagine if you put the clutch in on accident or something while the cruise is holding the throttle open and it didnt know to close the throttle.
interesting I do know that there is another switch on the clutch other than the push in switch, but didn't realize that it did the same function as the brake switch as a safety feature for CC. Weird.
Gents,
The switch is not on the floor. Move your seat rearward, remove the floormat and take a good look at the clutch pedal lever and the area around the pivot / hinge point. The switch is located up there. There is the possibility that it has come loose or dislodged so as to make closing the switch more difficult. It does disengage the cruise control on my '03 TT when you depress the clutch.
Cheers,
